A Bit About Me

Since I was born, I've had wild blood flowing through me. I was always outside in the most wooded areas I could find. Climbing trees, looking for snakes, spiders, frogs, etc. Building forts, looking for natural cordage and arrowheads. Playing in the dirt. I got in trouble all the time for coming home muddy. I would play out in the snow and build snow caves. Sometimes I would stay out so long that when I got home to warm up, I would cry because my fingers would hurt so much from being too cold. Like most of us though, I grew up.

I became a part of the working-class society and hardly ever got out in nature... But the wild blood was still coursing through me. At the young age of 34, I had saved a bunch of money. I quit my job and spent all my money on a wilderness skills apprenticeship course. Packed my bags and left for Shasta California. I spent 2.5 months in these woods at Headwaters Outdoor School. Sleeping in bark teepees and under the stars. Every day we would immerse ourselves in nature. Meditations, yoga, martial arts, and of course wilderness skills.
